Plenty of useful work does not fit neatly into them: a renewal list longer than 25 lines, a questionnaire with 450 questions, a comparison of three vendors for one need, an onboarding and offboarding checklist, or a research brief on a technology or policy question. Instead of an hourly rate or an open-ended engagement, we quote a fixed price for a written scope.
What’s included
- A reply within 1 business day of your email, with either a quote or a clear reason we are not the right fit.
- The quote states the deliverable, what is in and out of scope, what we need from you, the turnaround and the price. The price does not change unless you change the scope.
- Once you accept, the work is delivered the same way as the fixed services: by email, written, and reviewed by Emilio before it goes to you.
What we need from you
- What you want done and what you will use it for.
- The size of it: how many contracts, tools, questions, pages or vendors.
- Your deadline, if you have one.
- Any constraints, such as data you cannot share or a format the result must be in.
You do not need to send files to get a quote. A few sentences are usually enough.
Turnaround
The quote comes back within 1 business day. The work’s turnaround is stated in the quote and starts once scope is confirmed and payment is in.

- Vendor comparisons from public information: pricing, terms and published security posture for 2 to 4 vendors.

Who does the work
Emilio Santos does the work, with AI assistance. He uses general-purpose AI tools to help sort, draft and check, which means parts of what you send are processed by those tools. He reads every line of what you send and every line of the deliverable before it goes to you.
Your data
- Send files by email to circuits50capital@circuits.fit. They arrive and are stored in that mailbox.
- Please remove passwords, keys, account numbers, payment card numbers and protected health information before sending. We never ask for system access or credentials.
- Parts of your material are processed by AI tools as part of the work. Where a tool’s settings let us turn off the use of our inputs for model training, we turn it off, and we do not use your files to train models.
- We delete your files and our working copies within 30 days of delivery. Copies kept by email or AI providers under their own retention or backup schedules may last longer, and we do not control those.
- We do not sell or share your material except with the email and AI services used to receive and process it. See the privacy policy. If you would rather your material not be processed by AI tools, say so when you order and we will tell you whether we can do the work without them.

- We confirm the scope with you by email.
- Payment is arranged after the scope is confirmed. The turnaround starts once payment is in.

Is the quote free?
Yes. Asking costs nothing and there is no obligation to accept.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every job has a fixed price for a written scope.
What if the work turns out bigger than expected?
If it is our misjudgment, we absorb it. If the scope changes because new material arrives, we tell you before doing extra work and you decide.
Can I get a call first?
We work by email so everything is written down. If something needs a quick clarification, we ask by email.
