Guides, free tools and briefings, grouped by the decision they help with.

Most readers do not arrive at Circuit & Capital looking for a news story. They arrive with a decision on their desk: a software renewal due in sixty days, a security advisory that may or may not apply to them, or an AI business case that needs a number finance will accept. Topics pages are built for that reader. Each one gathers every guide, free tool and briefing we have published on a single decision, in the order you are likely to need them, so you do not have to search the archive piece by piece.

The audience is the person who signs or approves: CFOs and controllers, COOs, IT and procurement leads, security managers, and founders who still do all of those jobs at once. We assume you are busy and skeptical. Every topic page starts with a short explanation of the problem in plain language, then links the practical material first (guides and tools you can use today) and the briefings second (what changed, who said it, and the primary source).

Everything on these pages follows the same rules as the rest of the site. Facts link to the regulator, filing or vendor page they come from. Our own judgment is labeled as analysis. The calculators and checklists run in your browser and do not upload what you type. None of it is legal, tax or insurance advice; it is the preparation that makes a conversation with your adviser shorter and cheaper.

There are three topics today. Renewals and SaaS spend is for anyone who owns a software budget and wants to stop paying for seats nobody uses or missing a notice deadline. Security and vulnerabilities is for teams that need to know which bugs attackers are already using, what to ask a vendor, and how security decisions show up in insurance and SEC disclosure. AI costs is for people who must turn a model price sheet into the cost of a finished task and a gross margin. We add a topic when we have enough original material to make it useful, not before. If there is a decision you would like covered, tell the desk.
